About Gaslands
Gaslands is a vehicular combat wargame by Mike Hutchinson, set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where drivers build and arm their own custom cars to compete in bloodsport races. Games are played with converted toy cars — sanded, painted, and bristling with scratch-built weapons — racing around courses filled with obstacles and hazards.
Players build a team of vehicles from a shared sponsor pool of weapons and upgrades, then race, ram, and shoot their way around the table. It's a fast, chaotic game with simple rules and a big emphasis on hobby customization — no two Gaslands cars look the same.
Gaslands is a great entry point for hobbyists who love kitbashing and conversions as much as they love the game on the table, and its quick, brutal games make it easy to fit into a single evening.
Gaslands at Denver Miniatures Alliance
We run Gaslands as casual pickup games and the occasional multi-round tournament, with members bringing their own wildly customized vehicles to the table. It's one of our most approachable games for new players and a favorite for showing off hobby work.
